Pastoral Flexibility

It is time to take a serious look at theological homophobia without bias, and hopefully with truth as our destination. Recently the Vatican again issued its statement why gay man with serious homosexual tendencies; whatever that means, should not be priests in the Roman Catholic Church. What’s wrong with that position outside of the fact that the clergy wear lavender as seamlessly as they do their clericalism.

Amoris Laetitia should have  theological application for Pastoral Flexibility if nothing else Certainly Pope Francis’s  the apostolic exhortation shows how messy life can become, and we should never sit in God’s judgement seat when it comes to sinners. Why cannot this approach to the divorced and remarried be applied to Gay Couples? How can any human agency know the state of anyone’s soul.

Remember Jesus went to Samaria where he was not suppose to go. I believe he showed that the living water of salvation is available to all without exception. Sadly when it comes to Pastoral Outreach by the Church to its LGBT members there appears to be a state of supreme messiness because of its dogmatic calisthenics

If change is going to take place let it happen out in the open under God’s clear sky.
